BEST smartphones of the first half of 2025: 10 categories

Pros

  • High screen quality
  • Capacious 5000 mAh battery
  • Support for 45W fast charging
  • Great sales potential in Poland

Cons

  • Lack of specific camera details
  • Unspecified processor for the A56 model

The Samsung A56 is a smartphone distinguished by its very good screen and solid 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The device, available for 1400-2000 PLN, is seen as one of the sales leaders in the Polish market.

Despite the positive aspects, there is a lack of specific details about the camera, which hinders a full assessment of its photographic capabilities. Processor differences between the A36 and A56 models suggest varied performance, but the specific chip for the A56 is not clearly defined.

In my opinion, these are the biggest sales potentials in Poland.

  • Superior main and ultrawide camera quality, especially in low light.
  • Faster UFS 3.1 storage.
  • Supports HDR10 Plus video playback on its bright OLED screen.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 stands out as a strong contender in its segment, offering notable upgrades over its predecessor. It boasts a more powerful Exynos 1580 chipset with faster UFS 3.1 storage, delivering significantly better performance for daily tasks and benchmarks. Samsung Galaxy A56 vs Galaxy S24 FE: Which one to get?

Pros

  • Camera: Delivers better low-light photos.
  • Camera: Provides slightly sharper selfies.
  • Camera: Includes a dedicated macro camera.
  • Performance: Features much better thermal management.
  • Value: Is a less expensive option.

Cons

  • Camera: Lacks a 3x telephoto zoom lens.
  • Camera: Video recording maxes out at 4K.
  • Performance: Has lower CPU and graphics benchmark scores.
  • Performance: Not ideal for heavy tasks or intense gaming.
  • Screen: Offers slightly lower max brightness.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 stands out as a strong value-for-money smartphone, offering several advantages particularly in its camera system and thermal management. It provides better low-light photos and sharper selfies, along with a dedicated macro lens, enhancing its photographic capabilities.

While its mid-range Exynos 1580 chipset is suitable for daily needs, it is outperformed by the S24 FE in raw processing power and intensive gaming. However, the A56 compensates with superior thermal management, preventing overheating during prolonged use. Its most significant appeal remains its more affordable price point, making it an excellent choice for users looking to save money without compromising on key features.

But the Galaxy A56 is the lighter phone. We preferred its selfies and low light photos, and it has a dedicated macro cam. And probably the biggest advantage is that this phone is less expensive.
Otherwise, better go for the A56 and save some cash.

Samsung Galaxy A56 vs Galaxy A55: Which one to get?

Pros

  • Screen is slightly larger and brighter
  • Performance shows clear improvement in benchmarks
  • Excellent thermal management during stress tests
  • Faster initial charging speed to 65%
  • Main camera offers sharper nighttime video

Cons

  • Less power efficient battery than predecessor
  • Full charging time is unexpectedly slower
  • Main camera can produce overly bright shadows
  • Ultrawide nighttime photos are soft and noisy
  • Overall value is questionable compared to the A55 at full price

The Samsung Galaxy A56 offers several minor upgrades over its predecessor, including a slightly larger and brighter OLED screen, a more powerful Exynos 1580 chipset with improved benchmark performance, and faster initial charging speeds. Its main camera also delivers sharper nighttime video footage.

The A56 also shows a reduction in battery power efficiency and an unexpectedly slower full charging time despite the upgraded wattage. While it presents some enhancements, the reviewer concludes that the overall user experience is nearly identical to the A55.

Therefore, unless the Galaxy A56 is available at a discount, the A55 might be a more sensible purchase for better value.

The A56 is lighter with more durable glass on the back. It has a slightly larger and brighter screen. Its speakers sound better. Its chipset is more powerful, and it has longer software support.
Overall, even though the Galaxy A56 is slightly better, you get nearly the same experience with either phone.
