Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ - Best Camera in its Class? - Review, Mobzilla Ep. 607

Pros

  • Excellent 200MP main camera.
  • Very long battery life.
  • Very bright AMOLED screen.
  • Smooth performance in daily tasks.
  • Long support for system and security updates.

Cons

  • Weaker photo quality from the ultra-wide-angle lens.
  • No wireless charging.
  • Processor performance trails competitors in some applications (e.g., gaming).
  • No Ultra HDR function for gallery photos.

The Realme 16 Pro is a solid 'super mid-ranger' that, despite its mid-range processor, offers a top-tier main camera and exceptionally long battery life. Its price of 1799 PLN is appropriate for the device's class and capabilities.

The reviewer recommends this model, considering it well-balanced and offering enough intriguing features to not be boring, which translates into high user satisfaction.

Realme has managed to create solid upper-mid-range phones. Smartphones where some features are mid-range, like the processors, some are top-tier like the main camera or battery life, and the whole package is reasonably tuned and sprinkled with appropriately interesting features and highlights.
Prices start at 1799 PLN for the Pro model [...], meaning they fit within the current price range for smartphones in this class.
I can recommend the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro Plus.

Realme 16 Pro vs Pro Plus – Which One Should You Buy?

Pros

  • Excellent thermal management under stress
  • Display is easy to use outdoors

Cons

  • Lacks a telephoto camera lens
  • Video recording is limited to 4K 30fps
  • Noticeably lower performance than the Pro Plus
The Realme 16 Pro is presented as a successor to the Realme 15, adopting a more conventional flat design and a camera array that notably omits the telephoto lens found in its Pro Plus counterpart. It utilizes the Dimensity 7300 Max SoC, which, despite offering lower performance, provides exceptional thermal management, keeping the device remarkably cool. The phone's 6.78-inch flat display, while slightly smaller and with lower maximum auto brightness, maintains good outdoor usability.
The camera array loses the reflective finish and more importantly, the telephoto lens, the rest of the camera setup remains the same, though at 4K 30. And that is because of the SoC on the inside, the Demenity 7300 Max.
Performance is noticeably lower than the Pro Plus, but it runs extremely cool, maxing out at just 30° in stress tests.
the Realme 16 Pro, it feels like a successor to the Realme 15
