OnePlus 15 vs Oneplus 13: Which one to get?

Pros

  • Exceptional battery life and endurance
  • More powerful and thermally stable Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
  • High 165Hz display refresh rate for gaming
  • Unique hardware shortcut button
  • Improved stereo speakers

Cons

  • Overall camera performance is inferior to the OnePlus 13
  • Slower initial charging speeds compared to its predecessor

The OnePlus 15 stands out as the superior phone, primarily due to its class-leading 7,300 mAh battery which provides exceptional endurance. It boasts the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, offering significant performance gains and superior thermal management for sustained heavy use. Gamers will appreciate the 165Hz refresh rate display, which supports higher frame rates than many competitors.

Despite its strengths, the camera system is generally seen as a step down from the OnePlus 13, and its larger battery results in slower initial charging speeds. However, with its unique hardware button and improved speakers, the OnePlus 15 offers a compelling package for users prioritizing battery life and performance.

The OnePlus 15 has a hardware button for shortcuts. Its display supports an extra high refresh rate in games. It has better speakers and the newest chipset. And its battery life is way ahead. It's even among the best around.
In the end, the OnePlus 15 is the better phone, but you can get by with the OnePlus 13 without sacrificing too much other than the extra battery life and save a bit of cash along the way.

battery drain during benchmarks, because in normal use, it's not a problem at all. The OnePlus 15, in my opinion, is the best smartphone of 2025.

OnePlus 15 overheating fixed! (Here's the catch...)

Pros

  • Overheating issues were successfully resolved by a software update
  • Thermal management significantly improved after the update
  • Shows superior CPU performance in short bursts

Cons

  • Features downgraded camera hardware compared to its predecessor
  • Comes with a lower-resolution display than the OnePlus 13
  • Performance is inferior to the OnePlus 13 in sustained heavy usage
  • Not considered the best OnePlus phone currently available
  • Appeals to a niche audience rather than a broad market

Initially, the OnePlus 15 faced significant overheating issues during benchmarks, which often led to test failures. OnePlus commendably addressed these problems with a software update, resulting in successful benchmark completion and notably improved thermal management. This fix allowed the phone to perform better and run cooler.

However, the OnePlus 15 presents a mixed bag in terms of features and comparative performance. While it outperforms the OnePlus 13 in short CPU bursts, it falls short in sustained heavy usage, where the OnePlus 13 maintains better performance at lower temperatures. Furthermore, the device features downgraded camera hardware and a lower resolution display compared to its predecessor.

Ultimately, despite the critical software fixes, the OnePlus 15 is not considered the best OnePlus phone available. It targets a niche audience who may be looking for a new device but are hesitant about the price of the Oppo Find X9 Pro or prefer not to purchase a year-old model.

So, yeah, the OnePlus 15's overheating problems have been fixed, but is it the best OnePlus phone you can get? In my opinion, no.
I suppose folks who don't like the price of the Oppo Find X9 Pro and don't want a phone that's already a year old should look at the OnePlus 15. That's a pretty niche audience, but it's there.

TOP 10 MOST PROFITABLE SMARTPHONES | Q3-Q4 2025

Pros

  • Solid camera.
  • Fantastic screen.
  • Turbo-efficient processor.
  • Good haptics and audio.
  • Contender for smartphone of the year 2025.

Cons

  • Processor overheats in benchmarks.
  • Expectations for a flagship's uncompromising top performance are not fully met.
The OnePlus 15 is a great smartphone and a strong candidate for smartphone of the year 2025. It features a turbo-efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a fantastic screen, a solid camera, and good haptics and audio. Its main drawback is the processor overheating in benchmark tests, though this issue does not occur during daily use and may be resolved in a future update. Despite minor flaws, the overall assessment is very positive, although a flagship device is expected to offer uncompromising excellence.
for me personally, it is one of the main candidates for smartphone of the year 2025. A great smartphone, and its only drawback is this fact. I suspect that a future update will fix these issues, because they don't occur in situations where we use the smartphone on a daily basis. But if we have a flagship, we expect everything top-notch from a flagship, and there's no need to make excuses for the manufacturer here.

Let’s talk about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Pros

  • Smooth performance for day-to-day tasks.
  • Terrific performance for graphics-intensive mobile gaming.
  • Maintains reasonable temperatures during normal daily use.

Cons

  • Fails to complete stress testing benchmarks due to overheating.
  • Shuts down in very intense scenarios to prevent overheating.
  • Inability to sustain peak performance for extended periods.
  • Generates excessive heat under demanding loads.
The OnePlus 15 exhibits strong performance for everyday tasks and even graphics-intensive mobile gaming, maintaining reasonable temperatures during such activities. However, it faces significant challenges with thermal management under extreme loads, failing to complete stress testing benchmarks due to severe overheating and even shutting down. This inability to sustain peak performance for extended periods due to thermal issues is a major concern. OnePlus has indicated efforts to refine the thermal curve, suggesting future software adjustments to balance performance and temperature.
But for stress tests where the phone really gets truly pushed to its limits, it fails. It simply will not complete the test due to overheating.
OnePlus with this overheating problem, it said it is quote refining the thermal curve so that our peak performance remains uncompromised while surface temperatures stay comfortable. So, this overheating issue probably won't be an ongoing thing.

OnePlus 15 "Real Review" - We Back in Business!

Pros

  • Insane battery life and incredibly fast charging speeds
  • Powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Generation 5 processor for smooth performance
  • Impressive 165 Hz LTPO AMOLED display with excellent brightness
  • Capable triple 50MP camera system, performing well despite specs
  • Appreciated flat display design with minimal bezels

Cons

  • High global starting price of $900
  • Lacks a Quad HD display resolution
  • Better camera, software, or display options exist from competitors at its price point
The OnePlus 15 is presented as a "certified beast" by the reviewer, earning a "major go" despite a few notable criticisms. It excels with an insane 7300 mAh battery, incredibly fast 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and powerful performance from its Snapdragon 8 Elite Generation 5 processor. The 165 Hz LTPO AMOLED display is vibrant, and the triple 50MP camera system performs well above its "on-paper" specifications. The main drawbacks are its high $900 global price and the absence of a Quad HD display, with the reviewer suggesting a $750 price point would offer better value against competitors.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm giving the OnePlus 15 a major major major go. My only gripes would be the price. I would like to have seen this for 750.
I would like to see a quad HD display. And other than that, I mean, that's pretty much I can't really complain. That's pretty much it. Quad HD display and a better price. Other than that, this is a certified beast.

Don't Waste $500 - OnePlus 15 vs Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Pixel 10 Pro XL

Pros

  • Exceptional battery life and ultra-fast charging speeds.
  • Top-tier performance driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
  • Competitive pricing includes a charger and pre-installed screen protector.
  • High refresh rate (165Hz) display with ultra-thin bezels.
  • Strong camera performance for landscapes, macro, and portrait modes.

Cons

  • Camera struggles with high dynamic range shots.
  • Weak Instagram camera performance.
  • Low-light camera captures fewer details.

The OnePlus 15 stands out as a strong contender, delivering top-tier performance with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and an industry-leading 7,300 mAh silicon carbide battery with incredibly fast charging. It offers compelling value, starting at a competitive price and uniquely includes a charger and pre-installed screen protector.

While its camera excels in vibrant landscapes, macro, and portrait modes, it can struggle with high dynamic range and low-light details. Overall, it represents a significant improvement, especially for users prioritizing power, battery life, and practical innovations.

For price category, OnePlus is a clear winner. Uh, oh, and OnePlus also comes with a charger in the box and a pre-installed screen protector. Big win for OnePlus there.
The OnePlus 15 has the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, uh, which is, you know, top-of-the-line for Android phones. Great speed, a lot of upgrades on this chip.
OnePlus wins with no contest here. Partially because they're the only phone on this table that's using the silicon carbide batteries. [...] 7,300 milliamp hours, which is like 50% bigger than the other two batteries on this table.
I'm going to say OnePlus has to win this one. They did such a good job. Big improvement over last year.

OnePlus 15: A potential Galaxy S25 Ultra killer | REVIEW

Pros

  • Very long battery life.
  • Excellent LTPO AMOLED 165 Hz display.
  • Top CPU performance on the market.
  • Fantastically working fingerprint scanner.
  • High build quality and design.

Cons

  • Weak selfie and video camera.
  • Significant overheating under heavy load.
  • Requires a dedicated charger for full 120W charging speed.
  • No magnetic connector for wireless charging.
  • Photo quality doesn't match competing flagships.

The OnePlus 15 is, in many respects, a fantastic device that positively surprises with its beautiful design, excellent 165 Hz LTPO AMOLED screen, and impressive battery life thanks to its 7300 mAh cell. It offers top-tier performance from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a very fast fingerprint scanner.

Unfortunately, the phone has its flaws, such as a weak selfie and video camera that doesn't measure up to premium competitors. A significant drawback is also the overheating issue under heavy load, which might indicate problems with the processor or software optimization.

Despite these drawbacks, the OnePlus 15 is considered a decent offering for its price, with potential for improvement after future Oxygen OS 16 updates.

How I see the OnePlus 15, because in many ways it is a fantastic device that surprised me very positively, but there are elements that are not as polished as one might expect to call it the best smartphone of 2025, at least at the moment of preparing the review, at the moment of testing the device before its premiere.
Cons. In my opinion, it's too big, but that's just a subjective assessment. To fully utilize the charging speed, you need a dedicated charger from OnePlus. Lack of a magnetic connector for wireless charging, technical issues with the processor, and very high temperatures. In my opinion, a rather weak selfie and video camera. And what's good, because in my opinion there's more of that. Beautiful design and build quality. Great 165 Hz screen. Absolutely, and I should have said this earlier, a fantastically working fingerprint scanner. Very good haptics. Top performance on the market UFS 4.1, possibility of recording 8K videos, very good battery life, surprisingly very good stereo speakers. And in my opinion, the price for a flagship, 3999 PLN. Let's call it decent.

Only the camera quality isn't as top-notch as it flagship camera phones, but if you're fine with that, the OnePlus 15's champion battery life and stellar performance make it an intriguing offer.

OnePlus 15 Review: This is Not Normal!

Pros

  • Exceptional battery life with a massive 7,300 mAh silicon carbon battery.
  • Outstanding performance driven by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
  • Incredibly fast UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X Ultra RAM options.
  • Very high 3200 Hz touch sample rate for responsive interactions.
  • Competitively priced for its advanced specifications and features.

Cons

  • Substantially downgraded camera system with a weak primary sensor.
  • Photos exhibit dull colors, excessive noise, and a lack of detail.
  • Display has a slightly lower resolution compared to the previous model.

The OnePlus 15 offers an incredibly fast and smooth user experience, highlighted by its powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, abundant RAM, and super-fast storage. Its exceptional 7,300 mAh battery delivers outstanding longevity, easily lasting over a day on a single charge.

Despite these significant strengths, the camera system is a major disappointment, described as a substantial downgrade with weak performance, dull colors, and a lack of detail in photos. This recurring issue for OnePlus is a significant drawback for an otherwise capable device.

Competitively priced, the phone provides excellent value for its performance-oriented features, but the camera weakness prevents it from being a complete flagship offering.

I've really enjoyed using this OnePlus phone for the same reasons I've enjoyed using a lot of previous OnePlus phones. They make these things so fast and smooth.
it's not normal. This phone is so not normal. And I appreciate that so much for all the little performance stuff, but they do now have a longer way to go to get me to daily a phone like this if the camera is going to be lagging so hard.
But thankfully, it is very competitively priced.

OnePlus 15 review: Buy the OnePlus 13 instead

Pros

  • Large 7,300 mAh battery capacity
  • Fast 80W wired charging with included charger
  • Slim display bezels and gorgeous flat panel

Cons

  • Significantly downgraded camera hardware and engine
  • Severe overheating issues with the new processor
  • Lowered screen resolution (1.5K vs 2K) for higher refresh rate
  • Poor overall value compared to its predecessor
The OnePlus 15, despite featuring a larger 7,300 mAh battery and an attractive flat display, presents a mixed bag of upgrades and significant downgrades. It suffers from a considerably worse camera system and severe overheating issues with its new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, failing key benchmark tests. The decision to lower the screen's resolution for a higher refresh rate is also seen as a poor trade-off for most users.
The OnePlus 15 is undoubtedly better than the OnePlus 13 in certain ways, but it's also worse in multiple very important ways. Given that the OnePlus 13 is certainly going to come down in price now that the OnePlus 15 is available, it's hard for me to tell people to buy the OnePlus 15.
Really, the only thing that the OnePlus 15 does unequivocally better is have more battery life. But even then, the battery life of the OnePlus 13 was already exceptional.

OnePlus 15 Review

Pros

  • Exceptional battery life for multiple days of use
  • Very fast performance with Snapdragon Elite Gen 5
  • Consistently good camera quality with effective AI processing
  • Impressive 165Hz OLED display
  • Excellent value as a "flagship killer"

Cons

  • Display resolution was downgraded from the previous generation
  • Camera struggles to accurately capture true colors of some LED lights

The OnePlus 15 presents a compelling package, excelling with its massive 7,300 mAh battery for extended use and a powerful Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor paired with effective cooling. Its camera system, enhanced by the Detail Max Engine, delivers consistently high-quality photos, marking a significant improvement over previous models.

The phone boasts a world's first 165Hz OLED display, though with a slight resolution downgrade that is barely noticeable. Offering substantial features at an $899 starting price, it positions itself as a "flagship killer" providing great value compared to more expensive rivals.

Honestly, I think for most people who are not camera mavens and obsessed with pixel peeping, they're going to be really happy with the cameras on this. So, OnePlus did well this year.
Now these are nice cameras. I don't feel like we're losing anything between the 13 and the 15. If anything, I feel like that we have jumped forward a bit.

OnePlus 15 Review: Flagship Killer? Again?

Pros

  • Excellent multi-day battery life with 120W fast charging.
  • High-performing flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
  • Versatile triple 50MP camera system that excels in general photography.
  • Competitive pricing offering strong value compared to other flagships.
  • Clean user interface with Oxygen OS 16 and useful AI features.

Cons

  • Digital zoom beyond 7x is highly inconsistent.
  • Display features a 1.5K resolution rather than 2K.
  • High 165Hz refresh rate is not noticeably active in everyday use and might affect battery.
  • Battery capacity is slightly less than the Oppo Find X9 Pro.

The OnePlus 15 emerges as a highly commendable flagship, integrating the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a capable triple 50MP camera system that delivers impressive general photography. Its standout feature is the incredible 7,300 mAh battery, providing multi-day usage alongside super-fast 120W charging.

While the 1.5K display and inconsistent high digital zoom are minor drawbacks, the phone's overall performance and features are on par with more expensive rivals. The reviewer considers it a smash hit, offering a compelling blend of premium specifications and aggressive pricing that makes it a very tempting choice against traditional flagships.

The OnePlus 15 is another smash hit and it's another example of why sometimes you should look past the obvious.
I think given the price, the battery, the display technology, the, you know, the flagship design, everything about this. Oh, the flagship chip. It's got the latest Snapdragon chip in it. This is so tempting. It must be tempting over phones like this, unless you are, you know, an Apple person.
If I if I had to if I had to pick one, I think [...] it would be the OnePlus. It would be the OnePlus 15 in the sandstorm, whatever it's called, color because it's slightly cheaper and it feels very similar to the Oppo.

OnePlus 15 Review – Not a Downgrade, a Strategy?

Pros

  • Massive 7,300 mAh battery capacity.
  • Extremely fast 120W wired charging support.
  • Excellent gaming performance and stability.
  • Screen offers high brightness for outdoor use.
  • Substantially lower launch price.

Cons

  • Camera optics are a notable downgrade with smaller sensors.
  • Screen resolution is a minor downgrade from previous models.
  • Runs warmer than other devices with the same SoC.
  • Not positioned as a 'flagship killer' across all aspects.
The OnePlus 15, despite some downgrades in camera and display resolution, is presented as a strong contender for gamers and performance enthusiasts, largely due to its substantially lower launch price. It features the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, delivering excellent gaming stability even though it can run warmer than some competitors. Key strengths include its massive battery with ultra-fast charging, strong video capabilities, and a very bright 165Hz OLED display. Overall, it's considered a compelling, specialized offering for its targeted audience.
So, yes, this is a downgrade in some ways, but given the lower price tag, I wouldn't call the OnePlus 15 a bad phone.
Still, for gaming and stability, the OnePlus 15 might just be your best pick.
