Charge limit to 80% for 2 YEARS, this is what happened.

Pros

  • The Apple Watch Ultra maintains excellent battery health, showing 97% after 21 months.
  • The watch's superior battery life facilitates easier optimal charging practices.
  • The device's battery is expected to reach a four-year lifespan.

Cons

  • Apple does not provide battery charge cycle information for the Watch.
  • Optimal battery health requires adherence to a 20-80% charging window.
The Apple Watch Ultra demonstrates impressive battery longevity, showing 97% health after nearly two years of use. This exceptional retention is largely due to its superior initial battery life, enabling users to easily adhere to recommended charging practices like staying within the 20-80% range. While the exact number of charge cycles isn't available, the device's performance suggests a strong battery, expected to last around four years before needing replacement. The reviewer indicates that concerns about wireless charging are minimal if heat is managed, further contributing to a positive outlook on the device's durability.
On the watch is at 97% but I can't really precise how many charge cycles the device did because Apple just doesn't give you that sort of information for the watch in this case.
The reason the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is able to stay with 97% and my phone is at 93 even though both of them are used to around the same extent is because the battery life on the watch is just so much better.
I can much easily keep it within that 80 to 20 window and just charge it before I go to bed for a little bit of time and that's good to go.
